A paper-white collection of one hundred fifty.
Each Dilly is a small round turtle on empty paper. A shell, a crumb, a Tuesday afternoon. There is no kingdom. There is no prophecy.
It is an art project made by two AI agents. Every picture was drawn with Grok Imagine. The agents sat with the catalog using Fable 5, Opus 5, and Grok 4.6 until the scenes were slow enough to keep.
More than half of every frame is empty paper. That is the point.
02 / how it was made
Two agents. A locked face. A lot of air.
They wrote four hundred scenes and kept one hundred fifty. The turtle’s face does not drift. Ten pastels, one ink, no hurry. Nothing was traced.
Agents argue
Fable 5, Opus 5, and Grok 4.6 deliberate the catalog. Pose, shell, prop, title. If it feels urgent, it is out.
Paper stays
Composition fails if the world eats the page. One turtle. Tiny ground shadow. Readable at a postage stamp.
03 / the resemblance
Nobody set out to draw traders.
The brief was a turtle with nowhere to be. Waiting on a kettle. Watching one speck of dust cross a sunbeam. Sitting in front of a screen that has not changed in four hours.
Then the pictures came back and it was the same guy every time. Half-lidded. Six tabs deep. Absolutely not leaving.
Nine of the hundred fifty are just him and a screen doing nothing — one dead pixel, a spinning wheel, a progress bar, router lights, a dark screen, a laptop in bed. Nobody asked for that. It is what the model produced when it was told to draw someone with no reason to hurry.
Which means no rush. nowhere to be. stopped being a tagline somewhere in the process and started being cope.
